Finnish Championships were held at Suomu in 10-11th of April. Before the competition I was training at Ruka and I came to Suomu at Friday 9th of April. Kari Kuukka’s multimedia presentation of freestyle is now published, there you can see how Arttu, Tapio and me are doing our jumps in moguls. It’s shooted in Suomu during the world cup event trainings.

During the World cup in Suomu, Kari Kuukka photographed trainings of Finnish freestyle team and asked us to describe how we do our jumps. There was going to be another world cup event after Suomu, in Meribel, France. But warm weather made it impossible and they wasn’t able to make any snow. Well our hard-working organizers wanted to organize substitutive event in Suomu.

There was an European cup in Suomu at 5-6.12.2009 and I choose to start my competition season from there. It’s not that stressful and I can test my limits in the competition.

Last competition season ended in April -09, we started training right after it. First three camps were in Suomu, we used the last piles of snow in there. Then we headed to Norway for summer skiing, then as far as Argentina. During the autumn we headed to Zermatt for traditional autumn camp.
